Welcome!
Welcome to the Bromley Players
website! We are a non professional performing arts group producing a wide range
of theatrical and musical productions in and around Bromley, Kent. We produce
one big musical theatre production a year in the spring as well as several
smaller concerts and plays in the autumn. We are very friendly and are open to
new members both on and off stage. If you’re a singer, dancer, actor or would
like to be part of the crew we are interested in you. No experience necessary!
Just turn up on a Tuesday evening and introduce yourself, alternatively send us
an email!
We rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 8-10pm at St Joseph’s Church Hall, Plaistow
Lane, Bromley BR1. The entrance to the hall is in Plaistow Lane, next to the
Church. Car parking is available in Plaistow Lane, Upper Park Road, Orchard Road
and surrounding side roads. Sundridge Park station is approx 5 minutes walk from
the hall.
Where we meet
Bromley Players is run by a dedicated team of committee members voted for annually by the Society. They meet once a month for meetings and are responsible for the smooth running of the company. The committee is approachable and open to any questions, suggestions or comments from members.

Richard Rook - Chairman Oversees all. Chairs the committee meetings, proposes future shows, applies for licenses, designs handbills and programmes, negotiates bookings, runs the Facebook group, maintains our web site. Frequently found on stage and directing. |

Ann Williamson - Secretary Hall bookings and business manager, assisting with administration. Stores show costumes in her loft. Hosts most Bromley Player parties. Has appeared in every show for the last 30 years (bar 1!). |

Frances Sheehan - Treasurer In charge of our finances. She's the one you pay your membership and show fees to. In charge of the rehearsal register, and always to be found busy at our social and fund raising events. |

Reggie Scrivens - Minute
Secretary Takes minutes of all committee and general meetings. Designs and makes show costumes. Helps at social and fund raising events. |

Georgiana Gillis - Committee
Member In charge of publicity and newsletters. Private music tutor and singer/songwriter. Appearing on stage since the age of 5, and joined the Bromley Players in 2006. As well as appearing in our shows Georgiana has now become one of our in-house directors. |

Sarah McPartlan - Committee
Member Assists with publicity and newsletters. This is Sarah's first year on the committee, and she has helped with fundraising events as well as developing our social activities. |

Paul Govier - Committee Member After a lifetime in performing arts Paul brings a wealth of experience to the Committee. Organises concerts, directs both musicals and drama events. |

Ian Chapman - Production
Co-ordinator Organises production meetings, liaises between the production team and technical staff and arranges promotional events. |

Glen Roberts - Committee Member Helps to organise social and fund raising events, assists the treasurer with the collection of money. |
